My Asian Kitchen – Jennifer Joyce

Jennifer Joyce

After travelling to Asia in the early 90s, US born Jennifer Joyce discovered the staggering deliciousness of authentic Asian cuisine.

Jennifer’s book, My Asian Kitchen, pays homage to the Asian classics, both new and old. The Asians brought bao, noodles, curry, sushi, and exotic salads into our lives.

Her recipes are clean, fresh and easy to follow, and each recipe’s introduction gives us a glimpse into her past and her love of Asia’s cuisines and cultures. It even features brilliant illustrations for techniques like wrapping spring rolls, temaki hand rolls, and gyoza. The photography is enticing and will inspire you to want to cook everything!

Authentic Asian cuisine is quick and healthy, and this book is full of fabulous recipes and techniques that will make cooking this cuisine a joy.

With all of the knowledge Jennifer has amassed throughout her life within these pages, she endeavours to push our understanding of flavours so we can master our favourite restaurant and Asian home-style meals in our own kitchens.

And as she says herself, ‘Since Asian food is all about sharing and socialising, your friends and family are going to be pretty happy, and well fed too!’

We have six recipes to share with you from My Asian Kitchen.
